It's the best place in Sigiriya, I recommend it to everyone.

The restaurant food is good, and the breakfast offered is very comprehensive and sumptuous with Sri Lankan food, fruit plus fresh scrambled egg. The location is excellent in Minneriya National park, 500 metres from Kandalama Tank.

The restaurant was lovely with the general price of meals here, I had amazing dishes. Plus it had a beautiful view by nature. Stayed here for a wedding ceremony, nothing too much trouble.

I had large and functional room with climate control, two TVs, and Wi-Fi. Plus it had amazing view over the lake. The location to a national park and a temple set next to the hotel was stunning. The breakfast was savoury and large, the check in was early.

Very good service and the food is outstanding. It has free parking, main bar. The location is central. The hotel is set in a very beautiful area with views of the lake.

Extraordinary and fairly clean place with great staff from gardeners to waiting staff to managers. Smooth check in and smooth check out. No charge for late check-out service, concierge service and wake up calls too. Stunning and great location in fairly nice area, right by which was an undoubted highlight and Kandalama lake, Dambulla which is one of a very beautiful area in Sri Lanka. Again, not far from a Kandalama reservoir.

Gorgeous, incredible location in Sigiriya, not far from all the usual tours and attractions, and landscaped areas. Marvellous vegetarian breakfast with a delicious food variety.

Clean property with unique design, and LARGE vegetarian breakfast. Amazing and fantastic location in a peaceful area, next to a national park and a temple. Variety of places to visit, such as bars and restaurants next to the hotel. Reasonably large room and pleasant view of the lake and the stuff.

The surroundings were beautiful and we saw lots of wildlife during our stay. All the staff were friendly, helpful and polite.

We booked this hotel on the assumption it was 'central' to the Cultural Triangle. However, Amaya Lake is very isolated so you need transport to go anywhere off the hotel grounds. Unfortunately due to the rain we were cut off for a few days as the roads in were flooded. A lovely location if you want to relax but not if you want to sightsee and explore Sri Lanka properly. The buffet food was over priced and although there was a lot of choice it was basically canteen food. The A La Carte menu was very limiting, especially if you wanted a light lunch. Drinks were expensive, lager cost over 3 times we paid in other bars in Sri Lanka. Also, no free internet access, cost 20p for 1 minute!

Distance to the airport was just 15 km. The room we booked was brand-new and fancy with a bath, the bedroom, for instance.
